Crochet Heart
Chain 4, slip stitch to join
10 x SC into ring. SS to join (make sure there are 10 stitches)
5 x Treble stitch into first stitch
Next 3 stitches have 1 x TR into each stitch
Next stitch is for the point of heart: Chain 4
Into next 3 stitches 1 x TR into each stitch
5 x TR into following stitch
SS into last stitch to finish.
Work in ends, then pin heart to a piece of foam to stretch it out and spray with tepid water. Allow to dry and remove from foam. Hey presto.... a mini heart!
I used this diagram to make the flower (this link now appears to have been taken down, so I apologise). Then I made a chain with a loop and stitched the hearts and flower to the chain. I added a few beads at the end to make the chain hang nice and straight. I use Stylecraft wool, its very reasonable and the colours are just wonderful.
Off to make spiced pear muffins now.... the recipe is in the March issue of Your Home magazine and they are just delicious.
Happy hooking....x
