I've never bought a crochet magazine before... sometimes I have a flick through them to see if something catches my eye. The other day I did just that with Crochet Today March/April edition, and I was pleasantly surprised to see numerous projects I'd like to try. So here is a little look ....
I hope you enjoyed this little taster of the current Crochet Today magazine.
It is published in USA and it is always in my local newsagents here in UK; I'm not sure where else it is available.
I was having a browse on Ravelry yesterday and I came across a link to a blog called According to Matt and it is really great - there is an abundance of fabulous crochet... check it out if you have time.
I like this scarf...
A crochet rug is totally on my "to do" list... love everything about this one...
A Spring cushion cover could be happening soon....
Great colours on this blanket... I might give this design another go sometime...
I'm definently going to try a ripple sometime... in varying shades of pink!
I fancy trying crocodile stitch and this shawl is just wonderful... although I'm not a shawl wearer.
Adorable Easter baskets...
| found this scarf in a charity shop and thought it would look good as a tablecloth.... |

Sending crochet love your way x
Some lovely designs in that magazine, particularly the rug.
ReplyDeleteI made a bag in the crocodile stitch when I tested a pattern on Ravelry, it looks lovely edging the shawl.

I don't buy the magazines very often but I do have a flick through occasionally to see what patterns are on offer. Thanks for sharing this one :) Your scarf/tablecloth looks beautiful. Maggie xx
ReplyDeleteI am currently making the flower granny blanket but I found the pattern for free http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/something-pretty
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteI picked up a copy of this (I'm in the US) and I can't decide which piece I want to make first. My mama would love to have the flower pillow for a Mother's Day gift and I'm leaning toward starting it.
ReplyDeleteHello from germany,
ReplyDeletethis magazine must be very interesting and I love the scarf and the cushion and the flower blanket. Unfortunately I cannot buy it here in germany but will have a look at amazon. Eventually I have luck and can buy it about amazon.
Have a nice week,
Tanja
So lovely and beautiful designs in that magazine, I love the scarf and the cushion and the flower blanket. Many thanks for inspiring me to new a new craft!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is beautifull. Congratulations from Poland :)
ReplyDeleteSou Rosangela do Brasil.
ReplyDeleteQue trabalhos mais lindos.
Adorei a peça que a mocinha está usando, o xale rosa, muito lindo.
Parabéns.
Beijo.
I followed a link from Little Woolie and found myself on your beautiful blog. Oh happy days! There are some fab projects to get your teeth into in your mag. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny thing how when I picked that mag up I didn't feel so inspired but your thoughtful perspective put those patterns in a different light! I'm totally hooked on a mag called Interweave Crochet and their website Crochet Me. It's worth a Google. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThey are cute projects but the truth is I like yours better :)
ReplyDeletePascoalito has been telling me he wants to come stay with you, so will you please send me your address, dear friend? I believe you have my email address ;)

Oooooooooo happy days.... that is so very kind and wonderful Teresa. This has cheered me up no end and I can't wait for Pascoalito to arrive! Thank you thank you x
DeleteOh, I want to learn crochet so badly! It is on my list of to-do's. And your work is lovely and inspires me even more so. XO Helena
ReplyDeleteHi there, I find your blog really uplifting as it's always so colourful! By the way, I've tagged you into this fun q & a on my blog and would be interested in your thoughts
ReplyDeleteMorning! Some of the magazine projects remind me of the ones you find in vintage crochet mags or books. Have had a look at Matt's blog and it's really colorful. It's quite refreshing to see a man doing crochet for a change, isn't it? Have a lovely weekend, Pati x
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, Meme, and I really look forward to your posts!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the pattern for the pretty little blue flower in the first pic (the one with the red center)? I've been looking for something like that but can't seem to find it.
Thanks so much & keep up the inspiring work! I love it!
Thank you for your kind words Jo. Both flowers have come from a book I have recently bought called "100 flowers to knit and crochet" by Lesley Stanfield. It is only about £6 on Amazon.
DeleteJust recently started following your blog, love it btw. Can I just ask where you bought the Crochet today magazine from. I've asked my mum in the UK to send me one over as I now live in the UK, where is she most likely to find it? Many thanks
ReplyDeleteI've left a comment on your blog... Let me know if you can't get a copy and thank you for your kind words x
