Summer pudding...

100 squares to date... I like how this blanket is turning out and I try to do a row of squares
each week ...

the beginnings of a wall hanging... hope this idea works out

Muscari in the garden... LOVE these flowers and so happy they have arrived...

new yarn and a hexagon sample using some of the new colours....
Finally the sun has put his hat on and come out to play.... hip hooray! The postie has also delivered some new yarn, mostly Wendy Peter Pan acrylic and a ball of King Cole "Rose" colour, which is a wonderful vibrant pink. My absolute favourite colour is Wendy Peter Pan "Summer Pudding", a deep coral pink. Also putting in an appearance are the Muscari we planted last Autumn... I love this little flower; a cross between bluebells and lily of the valley in my opinion. The photos show a few things that are helping me out of the doldrums... they are working their magic little by little.

Sending a posy of Muscari your way x

  5. What a gorgeous blanket. Is that edged in black? What are the names of the Wendy colours and what are you going to do with them? Sorry for the 20 questions, I need a new project to concentrate on. x

    1. Wendy yarn colours are tulip, fuschia, summer pudding, violet and kingfisher and the king cole is rose colour. I thought I would do a mini version of the kaleidoscope blanket in a long strip to hang on the landing wall. Will have to see how it progresses...

Pretty soon I will be getting those crochet hooks out. Meanwhile, let me tell you how beautiful all your photos are.

    1. Anita, the pattern for the black granny square blanket is from issue two of Mollie Makes magazine and I think you can download this magazine from their website. It is also in "The Gentle Art of Knitting" book which has a mixture of crochet and knitting patterns. Hope this helps you.

  12. Gorgeous colours, the black really sets them off so well and gives a stained-glass window effect! The wall hanging project sounds lovely and I really like the warm colours chosen so far.
I love muscari too, those little bell-shaped flowers are so touching and the colour is one of my favourites.
    Have a lovely week!
P.S. I love the Summer Pudding colour - it's rather like raspberries and cream, isn't it?!
