Rainbow wall-hanging...

There are a couple of posts on forums across the globe regarding how I made the flower above. Firstly, I do not bite; I am not some super important crochet guru who does not have time to answer questions... if you have a question about my work dear reader, please just ask me and I will answer to the best of my abilities. I like using the "reply" feature on the comments section as it is quick to use and will happily respond this way. Secondly, the above picture is not of a crochet flower but my hexagon wall-hanging rolled up. I realised the end looked like a flower and took a picture of it.

The rainbow hexagon wall-hanging is finished!

When I took the previous felt wall hanging down, two nails were left in the wall and at the moment I have just hung the crochet on the two nails. I thought the hexagons would lose their shape, but they haven't. Really I need to stiffen the wall-hanging with a PVA solution, but at the moment I will leave it as it is...

I bought a new vintage plate the other week and the design is meant to look like cross stitch... I love it and I can't believe it is about 60 or 70 years old...

In my mind's eye this wall-hanging was going to be a very pale pastel affair, but it has turned out very vibrant indeed! I think I could not resist using the new King Cole hot pink yarn in my stash and that set the tone for the rest of the hanging...

... and finally a photo of my latest owl acquisition...

... oh I must mention that the hexagon pattern and details can be found HERE.

Hope you have enjoyed this little splash of colour... enjoy the weekend and happy hooking x

Popcorn pattern developments...

... I was looking through my traffic source this morning and came across a lot of traffic from a blog in Korea. This talented lady has produced a diagram for the vintage popcorn square which I thought you would be interested in seeing. She calls the pattern Vintage Weddingring Motif; here is the pattern:
