The first picture is a sample blanket square measuring 4 inches square... I experimented with the edging and have thoughts of making a cushion cover ... the pattern is from one of my Japanese crochet books...
The second picture shows the beginnings of a pouffe cover using THIS pattern and THIS pattern... it is hard going as I am using double strands of dk yarn, but I want something hard wearing as the pouffe will get sat on!
Thank you so much for your recent lovely comments... stay warm and enjoy the weekend x
Both are very very pretty.

I love them both but the pouffe cover flower is adorable :)
ReplyDeleteLove the edging on the first square - colours are great too!

They look great, very complicated! :) x
ReplyDeleteI very much like the colors in your granny square, and that edging really does give a totally different feeling to the square.
ReplyDeleteKeep going with that double-stranded DK...the results are great, but I know how tricky those bobbles must be to execute.

I love what is on your hook! I am looking out the window at snow this morning in Rhode Island, so spring colors give me hope :) ~ Paula

Love the first, almost like a rose!
ReplyDeleteLove both squares, especially the second square...but I am unable to access the link. I've tried to make one looking at your pictures but it curls and looks all wonky. I just wanted to let you know that I love your blog and have started following you. I've been a lurker for almost two years and commented "anonymousily" but decided that that was problably not good what with all the "nastys" out there. Please keep the beautiful inspiration coming. Love it!

Hi Karen... I had forgot to do the link thingy which is why you could not access it! Thank you for pointing that out. In certain rows it will look wonky, but the next round irons it out. Thank you for your kind words and I hope you enjoy your puff round crochet..

Love the edging on the rose square, the colours are so bright and fresh; just right for Spring ---when it arrives. Woke up to falling snow here in north Hampshire!
ReplyDeleteLove the first, do share when finished.
ReplyDeleteLove the new works in progress. We have had the most amazing Summer here in Australia, lots of blue skies and sunshine, and lots of HOT days. I read your blog regularly and you never fail in inspiring me with your colours and profects....love it!!
