Hello... happy new season! Spring is such a happy time for me, I get so excited by all the changes in nature and really do feel there is a spring in my step... I wasn't going create this post as there is nothing crafty to share, but I decided to record what is making me happy this week...
This is the picture from my Mary Engelbreit calendar for March... wise words.
New yarn...
I found this very Spring-like yarn bag at the charity shop and promptly filled it to over-flowing with new yarn... happy happy happy...
Couldn't resist buying this turquoise retro phone from Amazon... and the mosaic deer vase is another charity shop find; the inside is aqua...perfection in a vase!
At this time of year I buy daffodils by the bucket load; they are so reasonable to buy and really lift everyones spirits...
Couldn't resist this bunny pot at the charity shop... love her long eyelashes and rouged cheeks! The pot is just crying out for some mini eggs ready for Easter....
You will need to press your nose up to the screen for this one... today we saw this formation of geese arriving to our shores for the Spring and Summer... I just love seeing these first signs of Spring. This week has seen the first sighting of blackbirds building nests, geese arriving and...
... crocus coming into full bloom.
In a matter of weeks the swallows, swifts and house martins will arrive... until then I will have to make do with my ever growing collection of bird wall hangings.
Another charity shop find.... crinoline ladies always remind me of my granny as she used to embroider crinoline ladies in her spare time... this tablecloth is too small for my table, but I just can't seem to part with it just yet...
Wishing you all a very happy new season... I hope to come back soon and have something crafty to share x

I feel like we are kindred souls because I also adore all the things from the charity shop you mention (especially crinoline) and believe it or not: today I also spotted a geese formation while I was drinking my coffee in the garden (to bald for this time of the year) You forgot to mention that thee geese really produce a touching quacking sound. Their noises utterly promise spring for me.
ReplyDeleteI made two colourful birds as a giveaway on my blog, you can check it out at:

Your birds are so cool! Love that you saw geese formation today too... have a good week x
DeleteThat embroidered tablecloth is just beautiful! So nice to see spring flowers too. That Which/Way calendar picture is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhy not select a solid color tablecloth that fits your table and then angle the lovely embroidered piece over it. Then you could enjoy your beautiful crinoline lady.
